Roof Inspection
Most roof problems start small and stay hidden until water shows up on a ceiling. A professional inspection catches them early. Our inspectors check the membrane or shingles, seams, flashing, drains, penetrations, and rooftop units, then give you a written report with photos and clear recommendations.
We suggest an inspection at least once a year, ideally in the fall before snow arrives, and after any major hailstorm. Regular inspections also make maintenance budgets far easier to plan and control.
Waterproofing & Below Ground

ROOFS WE INSTALL
Flat Roof
Flat roofs are the most common choice for commercial buildings in Alberta because they’re practical and cost-effective. Despite the name, they’re built with a slight slope, usually about 1/4 inch per foot, so water drains toward roof drains or scuppers.
We install flat roofs with TPO, SBS, EPDM, and built-up systems, and we design drainage to handle heavy Calgary and Edmonton snowmelt each spring.
Low-Slope
Low-slope roofs sit between flat and pitched roofs, with a slope of up to 3:12. That means the roof rises no more than 3 inches for every 12 inches of horizontal run. The added pitch sheds water better and reduces ponding.
These roofs usually use membrane systems such as SBS or TPO, and they’re common on commercial and industrial buildings across Calgary, Edmonton and nearby areas
Steep-Slope
Steep-slope roofs have a pitch greater than 3:12, so water and snow shed quickly, and debris rarely builds up. That makes them low-maintenance and long-lasting. They’re most common on homes, townhouses, and some low-rise commercial buildings.
We install steep-slope roofs with asphalt shingles and metal panels, using underlayment and ventilation suited to Alberta’s heavy snow, wind and hail.
Standing Seam
Standing seam roofs use vertical metal panels joined by raised seams that are folded or clipped together, with no exposed fasteners on the roof surface. The result is a watertight, wind-resistant roof with a strong fire rating and a clean, modern look.
Standing seam metal suits both commercial and residential buildings and can last 40 years or more with minimal maintenance and no need for regular recoating.
COMMON ROOFING MATERIALS

Metal Roof
Metal roofing is durable, fire-resistant, and sheds snow easily, making it a strong choice for Alberta winters. Steel panels can last 40 to 70 years with minimal upkeep, and many products carry hail impact ratings. Metal also reflects summer heat, helping cut cooling costs in commercial buildings.
Built-up Roofing (BUR)
Built-up roofing (BUR) is a proven flat-roof system made of alternating layers of bitumen and reinforcing felt, usually finished with gravel. The multiple layers create strong waterproofing and handle foot traffic well, and a well-maintained BUR roof can last 20 to 30 years with regular inspections and repairs.
TPO Roofing
TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply membrane with heat-welded seams that are often stronger than the sheet itself. Its white, reflective surface helps lower cooling costs, and it has become one of the most popular choices for new commercial flat roofs in Calgary, Edmonton, and Alberta.
SBS Roofing
SBS modified bitumen blends asphalt with rubber-like polymers that stay flexible in extreme cold. Usually installed as a two-ply system, it withstands Alberta’s freeze-thaw cycles, foot traffic, and hail, making it a trusted choice for flat and low-slope commercial roofs in Alberta.
EPDM Roofing
EPDM is a synthetic rubber membrane known for staying flexible in cold weather and resisting UV and ozone damage. It installs in large sheets with fewer seams, is relatively easy to repair, and can last 25 years or more with proper maintenance and regular inspections by a qualified roofer.
